BEING FAR

Being far is not always

crossing an ocean to be closer

to any place in the universe.

Being far is being absent.

Living without knowing

how it tastes the rain

while raindrops are falling

over your skin,

and how gleeful a heartbeat

would be while breathing

the essence of life.

Passing by like time

on a clock dying

slowly.

And forget what the future

is not while not being living

here, at this time.
